Happy New Year 2007 and a Review of 2006

2006 was quite a year for our travels.

In March, we bicycle toured through Vietnam and Cambodia. Then in July, we went on a safari to South Africa, Zambia, and Botswana. October saw us take a bicycle tour to the Puglia region in southern Italy, as well as visit Tivoli (outside of Rome) and the Maremma region of Tuscany. And in November, we ventured with the kids to Peru, where we stopped in Lima, Arequipa, Colca Canyon, Cusco, and Machu Picchu.

In between these trips to four different continents, we visited the Napa Valley (with the Dorrs), Scottsdale (Barry and Laurie's Arizona retreat), Delaware (Barry and Laurie's charity dinner), Temecula (to satisfy Caren's video poker urges at the Indian casinos), La Quinta (to visit the Ammons and attend their daughter's wedding), Mexico City (for the remarkable Katz wedding), Washington, DC (to see Erin), and New York City (to drop in on Lorraine).

What will 2007 have in store? Right now, all we have on the calendar is a bicycle tour through Morocco in April. We're considering trips to East Africa, India, and Egypt at different times throughout the year, but nothing is booked yet. For the next couple of months, we need to work on our golf games when the weather permits and get into physical shape for the Morocco trip.
